Peru Highlights

Cover some of the most important highlights of Peru. Although the golden period of Incas was less than a century, its great achievement and astounding stonework had attracted millions of travellers flocking to Peru.

Day 01 Lima

After you arrival we go to the hotel for breakfast and wait for the check in
And relax in the hotel then we do the tour around the city we visit the crypts of
San Francisco church, the Cathedral and Larco Museum then we get back to the hotel.

Day 02 Lima / Arequipa
Altitude: Arequipa (2380m)

Transfer you to the airport; we take a flight to the city of Arequipa, once we arrive we go to the hotel for leaving luggage and relax then we do sightseeing around main square, the convent of Santa Catalina and the Juanita museum (girl who was sacrificed in the Inca time)
And you can walk around the downtown on your own.

Day 03 Arequipa / colca canyon
Altitude: colca canyon (3400-4900m)

This morning we go towards the Colca Canyon, which is home the the Majestic condor and it is one of the deepest canyon in the world with a depth of 3,270 meters, we pass by beautiful villages along the valley and we stay in Chivay for relaxing in your hotel and explore the little town on your own.

Day 04 Colca Canyon / Puno (Lake Titicaca)
Altitude: Puno / lake titicaca (3800m)

Early pick up and we drive about 2 hours directly to the (cruz del condor) cross of the condor where we’ll enjoy the majestic condor flies, which is consider a god in the Andes and symbol of long life and eternity and freedom.
After we enjoy the condor showing wings through the clouds we drive towards the city of Puno.

Day 05 Puno (Lake Titicaca)

This morning we visit some of the most interesting islands of the lake Uros better known as floating islands then we go towards Taquile for a nice walking around the island and have lunch with traditional local ingredients in a family house, after we go back to the city of Puno.

Day 06 Puno / Cusco
Altitude: Cusco (3400m)

Today we drive about 10 hours along the trans-Andean high way towards Cusco and we do some stops such as Pukara where the traditional ceramic bulls are made also we using toilets and we enjoy a nice Peruvian coffee in a highway restaurant, then we continue towards La Raya which is the highest point of the trip (4335 m/m) then we go the way down for the lunch.
After lunch we stop in the community of Raqchi and we walk around the temple of the most important god of the Incas (wiracocha) then we continue towards Andahuaylillas where we visit one of the most beautiful churches of the Andes San Pedro, better known as the Sistine Chapel of the Andes
and after all we arrive to the city of Cusco.

Day 07 Cusco

This morning we visit the magical city of Cusco walking through the Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), the cyclopean Inca stones of Sacsayhuaman, ritual site of Q’enqo and San Pedro market then afternoon free.

Day 08 Sacred Valley (Chinchero/Maras/Moray)
Altitude: Sacred valley (3700m-2900m)

Today we drive through sacred valley and we do stop in Chinchero where we have a weaving demonstration with the ancient Inca techniques preserved by the locals then we continue to Moray an experimental station for adapting plants then we stop in the salt mine of Maras then we have lunch and go to the hotel at the sacred valley.

Day 09 Sacred Valley / Ollantaytambo / Machupicchu

This morning, we drive to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo and after the walk we take the train to Machu Picchu.
After lunch we do an afternoon tour in the sanctuary of Machupicchu when most of the tourist left and after that we go to the hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Overnight: Aguas Calientes
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch

Day 10 Machupicchu / cusco

You may continue exploring Machupicchu and also Huayna picchu mountain or sun gate (Inti punku) and after that we head down to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo then vehicle back to Cusco.

Day 11 Cusco / Lima
