This is one of the most important archaeological sites along the Sacred Valley of the Incas after Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. Impressive site with different architecture with not mortar walls in the lowest part and adobe on the second part and the buildings.

We pick you up in the morning with our private vehicle and we drive about 1:30 min towards the community of Tauca (3800 m) where we start the hike going up the mountain till 4500 m. With a nice view of the Piuray Lake and a beautiful landscape of the highlands, which is, the natural inhabited of the Llamas and Alpacas and wild life such as foxes, hares, Andean geese, ibis and etc.

You will decent and pass by the Leon Punku canyon, walking on the original Inca trail, through and Inca gate way until you arrive to the Huchuy Qosqo (3600m) the favorite place for the 8th Inca King Wiracocha. Made out of perfect carved stones on the first level and adobe bricks for the second, with beautiful farming terraces and great view of the sacred valley of the Incas.

After you visit the site you will continue walking down to the bank of the river at 2800m. Where our vehicle waits for you and bring you back to your hotel.
